ELPAVO Training Consultancies Closed Corporation (ELPAVO) was founded in 1995, using the skills and knowledge of the late Hub Paquay (BSc Mechanical Engineering, the Netherlands, 1952).
Over the course of his life, Mr Paquay achieved the following:
Deputy Director – Africa, International Standards Working Group Organization for the International Cost Engineering Council;
President, Cost Engineering Association of Southern Africa (CEASA) (changed to SAPCI, now AACE-ZA);
Vice Chairman, International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC) Administration for Africa and Asia;
31 years’ experience in project control;
15 years’ experience in project management fields;
Award by ICEC in acknowledgement of his dedicated services carried out in Africa – June 2000, Calgary, Canada;
Fellow member of AACE – as of June 2002;
Honorary Member of CEASA – as of July 2003;
Award by ICEC as a distinguished international fellow – April 2004.
Marie Voogt was one of the founding members of ELPAVO and has been its manager for the last 25 years.
Ms Voogt has the following experience and qualifications:
BA Communication and Psychology, UNISA, 1994;
25 years’ experience as managing member of ELPAVO;
19 years’ experience with Sasol Operations, comprising:
Personal assistant to three successive Managing Directors of Sasol;
Promoted to Generalist in Sasol’s Human Resource department;
Served as a board member of CEASA and SAPCI for 17 years.
